"Are we there yet?"

I'm I the only one who gets like this? Ok, so I went to Kauai about ten months ago and found even more reason to get out of Coeur d' Alene. I love Kauai so much but I also love the Washington/Oregon coast. Maybe it's an ocean thing or having been raised by some form of salt water throughout my childhood. I'm not one of those people who are into dolphins and whatnot, but I just feel better near a coastline. Which should I choose? Of course I'd choose Kauai first but I can't see myself staying for more that a few years. I mean, it's an island. Not many road trip opportunities and it's not just a hop, skip and a jump away from my family so until I win the lottery I won't be building a summer beach home along the Na'pali coastline anytime soon. When I lived near Seattle I hated it because I actually thought Coeur d' Alene was some kind a magical place where dreams come true and every Christmas we would go carroling and sing Brenda Lee songs around the piano. Reality check! I don't know what I was thinking. Yeah, the grass is greener on the other side when the other side is a massive delusion. Well, I think I have enough balance now to choose a place.

Kauai has a troupe that puts on South Pacific ( a Rodgers and Hammerstein musical) round year continuously. If I could get into that as a paid actor, I would move over in a heartbeat. So here's the big plan: Vacation in Kauai during one of their auditions. If I get in, I move over. If not, I move to the Seattle area and be almost just as happy.
